A charming Traditional Chalet in the heart of the Three Valleys. Chalet Bartavelle is a private, owner run chalet that specialises in serving fantastic food, prepared by owner, Jerry Mant, who is a professional chef with over 20 years experience. Transfer to lifts every morning and afternoon. We are also open in summer, when we offer a number of catering options.

Jerry and Bettina, the owners of Chalet Bartavelle, would like to welcome you to their charming chalet in Meribel. Our emphasis is on personal service, attention to detail and fantastic food.

Jerry is a chef with 20 years experience, working in Australia, France and some of the best restaurants in London. As Senior Chef, he was part of the management team behind Oxo Tower restaurants and previously with Harvey Nichols V Floor Restaurants. Now he offers the same high standard of food here at Chalet Bartavelle and each winter he will put together a mouth watering menu for you to enjoy.

The chalet offers a warm, welcoming feel. It was converted from a barn in 1974 and was re-renovated to a high standard in 2002 and so it is a blend of old charm and modern comforts.

The chalet sleeps 6 to 8 people and has a large living/dining room with a log fire and comfy chairs, in which to relax after a long days skiing. We have a good supply of books and games for your afternoon and evening entertainment, a stereo with CD player and high speed, wireless internet access. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 twin) and a mezzanine (twin), sharing two bathrooms, all newly installed.

As part of our service, we will be happy to help you organise your transfers, ski lessons, ski hire, lift passes, nannies or crèches and anything else you might need during your stay with us.

Meribel is in the heart of the Three Valleys, the world`s largest ski resort with over 600 kms of piste. Here you will find skiing and boarding for every level and there is great off piste too.

Meribel boasts a wide range of activities other than skiing. There is a sports centre with an ice-skating rink, heated swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room and bowling alley. A Cinema, numerous shops, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. If you are feeling energetic there are also lots of walks to try or you could go husky sleigh riding.

Summer in Méribel is something everyone should experience at least once. The scenery is beautiful, with numerous sporting activities for the energetic, such as walking, hiking, mountain biking, white-water rafting, parapenting, tennis, horse riding and much more.

If you like your holidays more relaxed, why not come and just enjoy the beautiful surroundings and fill your days with gentle walks and lunches in Méribel, Les Allues or in our garden. You could also swim in in- or outdoor pools and perhaps take a daytrip to the historic and beautiful town of Annecy with its nearby lake.

For the golf enthusiast, there is the Méribel 18 hole golf course, described by Peter Allis, as one of the best Alpine golf courses in the Alps.
