Area description:

Located on a gentle hill side with panoramic views, Villa Picholine is ideally situated on the edge of two very attractive provencal hill top villages: Chateauneuf and Opio. The medieval church of the latter is visible from the kitchen window. The famous 18 hole Grand Bastide golf course, an international tennis club, a riding school, shops and several excellent restaurants are all within a mile of the villa and can easily be reached on foot. The area is predominantly peaceful and rural, yet not at all isolated. The feel is that of living in deep Provence, with a shepherd and his sheep occasionally passing in front of the garden entrance, and yet one is only a short drive to the famous Riviera high life with all it`s glitz and famous restaurants, when desired.
